How far is it from your house?
They can be hard to get, yeah?

It's eight miles away but I'm there anyway. I can keep tools at my daughters which is a few minutes walk from the allotments.
Yup, there is a long waiting list for the regular council allotments.

How big is it? Is this for growing vegetables, flowers, or anything in particular?

There are a couple on offer. The one I'm interested in is about 6 metres by 3 metres.
I fancy trying a few vegetables and perhaps beans.

Going to get up near 60, then we'll have strong winds tonight. And snow on Monday. SMH.

I'm going to rake up the leaves in the front yard, assuming they're not frozen down any more. DH and a friend are going to split wood. Then kabobs on the grill for lunch. What says "spring" more than grilling lunch?

Ha-ha spring, anyway. Not-quite-spring. Teaser spring. Taste of spring-to-come.

Smelled spring this morning, 2 dead skunks on the road between here and grocery store.

I am calling them lemming skunks, because they seem to jump right in front of vehicles!

I've been offered a plot. I'm going to have a bit of a dig next week and see what the soil is like.

Sounds great, but better have it professionally analyzed before you decide to plant and raise your vegetables in it.
