Lovely day here again.
Got some Beet and Potatoes buried in the allotment plot today. Working on encouraging some ordinary and some lemon thyme to grow roots. Planning a herb section on the plot.

This is what I have to pound in posts. I surely can NOT swing a sledge hammer with enough force to put in posts. But I can lift this (with two hands) and drop it.

I slide it on post, then lift it vertical....not sure that would work whilst climbing a ladder.

Steady rain here with some thunder.
More rain in store with dropping temps leading to our 4th or 5th winter.

Made it home from run to Tummwater Cash and Carry and Costco Lunch at Arbys..
I would vote for the horse ride also.

You lot have got to be crazy. There is no way I would stand on a ladder and try and whack in a post with a sledgehammer.
Word up; post knocker.

As Sally posted Hollow metal tube, weighs a bit more than 8 kilos. No way I would try to use a sledge hammer on anything above waist height.

Never used sledgehammer for that have larger hand mallet that works but hit rock of anything your done.

Same here, but probably for at least a week. Cooler than average, they say. Hopefully, that keeps the blueberries and the fruit tree buds from waking up too early.
