I brought another pot to lighten the mood and warm us up.
@Shadrach. How are you feeling today? I hope you are better by now and take good care of yourself.

Nice build @Sally PB , your chickens will enjoy it.

Glad your chicks are ok @Isadora.

I'm not dead yet LaFleche. Bored of it is the best description. If I follow the average a few more days to go before I feel like getting up and dancing.

We're good here, penny. Princess is fine, and I have a few of the normal aches and pains reassuring me that I am still alive.

Hey Cafe dry day here mostly the sun is out..
We are not allowed to recycle by our waste management notice .. Unless we pay them for service we cannot recycle.

Seems very short sighted to me. They may make a small amount of income but not enough to offset the longer term consequences.

I have known the two since we were kids ..
They want everyone to pay them.

But I don't peel potatoes.

Unless they're for mashed. So, twice a year.

I gotta say, I love the color of beets.

I don't peel them either. I just give them a good scrub.

I am back from the driving run. DH is now getting new tires on the truck so it is his turn for a trip to town. Cold, foggy , damp, not snowing atm. Glad that you are feeling a bit better, Shad! Thanks for the warm-up on the coffee, LF!

Most recycling hasn't been free here for a decade.
The county conservation place does hazardous, tires, electronics event...
.... but it's paid for with tax dollars and grants.
I remember the good old days, recycling was 'the thing to do', it was widely available and wildly popular. I think that's how all those piles of plastic in the ocean were created. GrumbleRant.

Probably a part of that plastic mass the size of Texas is stuff tossed overboard from ships.

I'm heading back to work today and it feels weird. I've been out for most of 2 weeks and my brain if focused on getting a contractor to help me with this room. I have still never heard back from the original guy.
