We are not allowed to recycle by our waste management notice .. Unless we pay them for service we cannot recycle.
I don't peel them either. I just give them a good scrub.But I don't peel potatoes.
Unless they're for mashed. So, twice a year.
I gotta say, I love the color of beets.
Probably a part of that plastic mass the size of Texas is stuff tossed overboard from ships.Most recycling hasn't been free here for a decade.
The county conservation place does hazardous, tires, electronics event...
.... but it's paid for with tax dollars and grants.
I remember the good old days, recycling was 'the thing to do', it was widely available and wildly popular. I think that's how all those piles of plastic in the ocean were created. GrumbleRant.
