I don't think so. It's smells like burning plastic. And the house owner said that was definitely not normal.
It's out now. The plume is gone.

Another broody, the 4th different bird in as many weeks.
I banded her last night and she was back in nest this morning.
Am damn glad they are going one at a time so I don't need to set up more than one breaker crate(knocks wood).

It's chilly(47°) here the last few days, almost wished I had put on chore gloves this morning.

DS$ is officially done with HS. We got another inch of snow overnight but it is getting sunny and it is above freezing so it will "cool your paws off!" Alright, so it is snowing now.

I have been told that I am on the potential witness list so I guess I will have to dress slightly better than barn clothes. I am more curious than fearful, more hopeful than sad. It is possible that we can make sure that the baby the bio-mom is carrying now will be born drug free and under someone's watchful eyes. I just have to SMH at the weirdness of it all.
