And she was giving me the saddest look when I didn't feed her breakfast this morning.
My kitchen runner rug is out on the deck getting rained on. I'll have to do a proper cleaning with the Rug Dr when I get home.
She has the most sensitive stomach of all the dogs I've had. I have no idea what tipped her over this time. At least it isn't nearly straight blood coming out the back end like last winter.
She was very upset and clingy when I got home yesterday and now I know why. Wish I knew BEFORE I refilled the diarrhea maker.
Good gum color, bright eyes, serious appetite just an 'I don't feel so great' demeanor.
I have to look at the silver lining on the cloud. With all the piles she deposited in the night, I managed not to step in any of them. So there's that.

Could she have taken a bite of some of the rotten frogs you found in your pond construction site?

Nope. She'd have to be hanging out in the backyard without me and she doesn't do that. The most she'll do is lounge on the deck while I'm working outside. The second I head in, she's on my heels. LITERALLY!

Well, it sure seems like the 'first day of fall'....
.....cold blustery winds filled with some leaves falling
and brilliant blue skies switching on and off to dark gray.
Closed down all but a few windows, had to leave those cracked.
Really miss the sounds and fresh air of open windows.
Supposed to go down to upper 30's tonight, but not ready to turn the furnace on yet.

Probably 40s and 50s overnight, and 60s during the day here for awhile. Not a 70 in sight. I'm betting I'll build a fire in the woodstove before the weekend is out. I try to keep the furnace off for as long as possible.

I'm not feeding her anything until tomorrow.
My nephew that comes over at 2 on my work days to let them out and give Skittles his pill called to tell me that she made another mess on the floor for me.

I just cleaned it up and it is more mucousy than the last one so I've made an appointment for her to see the vet tonight for a course of metronidazole. I won't feed her until tomorrow morning and it will be boiled chicken in white rice with a few eggs stirred into the hot rice.

That's the other part of her sensitive stomach. She barfs if she gets too hungry. So I'm expecting that to start soon.

Well, she drooled the entire time I was preparing food so the appetite is good
She ran in the door to the vet (nice way to make me look like an overprotective idiot).
Now she just dragged the technician out the door for her blood draw.
