Ground Hogs are like GIANT moles.
Yeah, I never had the yard critter issues when I had dogs, didn't need to juggle their poops either.

Yes, they think of them as predators. My dogs don't run on that part of my yard. It's fenced off for them. Used to let my chickens run on that side. No more chickens these days.

Had a tree frog visit the pond last night.

He was singing away up on the edge of the deck right next to the pond.

That's a Gray Tree Frog! Super cool!

We had lots of tree frogs in FL. I have not seen any here. But we have loads of toads! Lots of them hang around our outdoor lights to eat the bugs that gather at night. We also see lots of blue tailed skinks.

I just went out and checked and he's now sitting on one of the rocks next to the water.

Astrid started taking her chicks out into the flock yesterday when they were 5 days old.

I'm 90% certain that Jody's chick is a boy. The fourth and fifth toes on one leg are fused. I named him Digit.

Cool Cooler day reprieve, hot tomorrow with copious rain to follow.

Hoping to get some whacking done today, lotsa saplings growing near the septic tank.
Need to get that cleared then edge in some copper sulfate all around the tank.
