You might want to get a floor squeegee.
@aart Do you happen to have a metal wooden handle garden rake? If so, cut a pool noodle (Dollar tree $1.25) the length of the metal, slit it open lengthwise, slip pool noodle over metal prongs, use 2-3 zip ties to hold pool noodle on rake and TAA DAA homemade squeegee!!!
Good Morning all! Happy WEDNESDAY!!!! 1/2 through the week and doing the slide towards August.
Hope everyone has a good day

Now if it was my house that was flooding something would have to be done.
Does this happen often
No, and I think "flood" is too strong of a word. Once was when we got a HUGE downpour that came from the north (unusual direction) and water came under the walkout door. Second was when the water heater died, and water leaked out the bottom. Third was ... uh... Something else... I don't recall what.

Total water was maybe an inch deep in the low spots of the floor. Which is NOT near the walkout door. A floor drain would have made the cleanup so. much. easier.

As I've said several times, the guy who built the house was an idiot. He made much (MUCH) worse mistakes on the house he built next door.

Ah, you have a walkout too.
I've never had water come in thru the regular door to outside, it's well sheltered and not low and at the bottom of driveway hill like the garage doors.

I have a drain in the basement/lower level floor, water has come up thru it a couple times, when the septic drain or field clogged. Only once was it serious and luckily was mostly washing machine water....but needed a new septic field.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I think Astrid's 2 chicks are pullets. I just can't believe how fast she weaned them this time. They are independent little things. One of them did persist in trying to get under Digit last night. He was very confused by this behavior as he's the one always trying to get under his hatch mom who is now significantly smaller than he is and she pecks the crap out of him for it.
