BYC Café

I thought I knew all the family abbreviations, DH, MIL, DD, etc., but pray tell, what is FH?
FH=Future Husband
I'll be there for the BBQ.

It sounds like quite a party.
Come join! There will be plenty of food seeing how lots of guests are bringing dishes to pass too....
Afternoon all!! Hope everyone is having a MAGNIFICIANT MONDAY. Right now it's 90 here but with the HEAT INDEX it feels closer to 100

We're supposed to get a lot of rain this afternoon/evening, up to 2+ inches. So far, it's cloudy and occasionally breezy. I still have the front door open and cool air is wafting in.

Yesterday, I found evidence of 2 broken and maybe eaten eggs. There was goo in the nest, and 2 empty shells: one in the run and one on the coop floor.

I was assuming the worst, but maybe... they got knocked around while the girls were laying, and broke...? I did not see any egg yolk/goo on anyone's beak or face.

There were two eggs in the nest later that were fine.

:fl :fl

I have a sealer that if someone tried to take it they would have a fight on their hands.

I buy ribeye roast when they are on sale for $5.99 per pound and have them cut into steaks.

I have eaten a steak that had been sealed for 3 years and taste like I bought it yesterday.

I couldn't do without my sealer.
I love my sealer, too. We bring it with when we drive to AK, seal and freeze our fish the same day we catch them (we take the couch out of our camper and put a small chest freezer in), we seal our venison, pork loin that I buy on sale, then cut into smaller pieces for the two of us, chicken breasts that I buy in larger packages and divide (when I run out of homegrown chicken). The possibilities are endless!

Were the shells good and thick or....?

One of us is gonna get swamped!
