BYC Café

We planted nine tomato plants before we left, then let nature take its course. We might get a few. Fortunately, we have a good neighbor with too many tomatoes and not enough time or room in her freezer to deal with them, so we were blessed with some from her. Six nice, big flats.

My goodness. That's a pretty good start.

Everything is by the coffee pot waiting for all you early birds to join me on patio in the crisp morning air (67) and only suppose to get to 85 by 3pm here today. About to go on my 2nd cup since I've been up since 1:45 ( thought I hadn't set my alarm and it was way later morning (4-4:30) when I startled myself awake).

Thought I saw some GREEN Tomatoes in the flats so FRIED GREEN TOMATOES in the future MAYBE. Homemade spaghetti sauce? Homemade Ketchup? Homemade tomato paste? Homemade SALSA, Stewed tomatoes, Diced Tomatoes? I'm hoping to have a small garden next year but we will see.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
I wore a sore spot on my thumb pitch-forking lake weeds that had been cut and then floated into shore. Gonna need a moleskin patch if we do some more fun like that today. Thur and Fri we get our share of the rains from Hillary. So far, it is not supposed to be anything heavy.
Have a wonderful day, Cafe!
