Finally cooled slightly around 9:30 last night, opening the windows was a relief.
Still humid as hell and had to sleep with ceiling fan on.

Terrible storms north of me, very near @Sally PB ....are you OK?

We are fine. Power's out, and estimated restoration is mid-afternoon today. We'll see.

A tree came down in the side yard, just brushing the car with leaves. It missed the coop. Until it gets light, we won't know what else is down. DH is not going in to work; I'm sure there are trees across roads. Where he works doesn't have power, anyway.

Oh, the big thing is the little power box for the TV got fried. Hubby ordered another, to be delivered tomorrow. It's big thing for him. I don't care nearly as much.

We have a pile of the top branches to chip up by the garden where they'll go. The trunks are cut to length and stacked. One of the trees was standing dead, so it'll burn this winter.

Some more standing firewood, to be cut another day. There are a lot of trees that snapped about 20 feet up. If this had broken off at ground level, it would have been on the car.

It is huuuuu-mid! today. We'll go scouting for firewood to harvest/clean up when it's cooler and drier out. We got what needed to be done out of the way.
