Last load of tomatoes is in the canner. After this batch, I change gears and work on salsa.

We have some wild grapes that I might use to try making jelly. My grapevines have about 3 years to go.

Needed so bought new garage door opener remote, cannot get it program
Will just keep reading the instructions and trying until I get it..might take a couple days.

Finally got it!
Couple more readings of the sequence instructions of both transmitter and receiver did the trick.

@Alaskan !!!!!! Just so you know, we all (here and on BYH) were getting quite concerned by your sudden and LONG absence!!!!

The hottie tree guy texted me when I was at work today to ask if he and his brother could come out to work on the poplars I want taken down. I of course said yes.

When I got home, every one of my chickens except Kylie and Miracle were as far away from the tree line as they could get! Kylie and Miracle were hiding in the maternity ward and Kylie started growling when I went in there. They really didn't like that tree dropping business at all.

They took out 10 big poplars, a bunch of scrubby dead crap, a damaged oak and about 8 dead ash. He only charged me $1,200! He will be back next week to get the rest and I talked him into taking some piddly little shrubby things that were leaning down on my electric fence. Maybe another $500 and all that garbage will be DOWN. What a relief! I won't have to cringe every time we get heavy snow or strong winds.
