We saw these in Soldotna, AK this summer…

We often see antlerless up there. I haven’t ever seen a big bull in person.

Many years ago, 34 last May, to be exact, hubby and I spent our honeymoon on Isle Royale. We spent the nights in the lean-to shelters. People write all kinds of graffiti on the walls with marker and charred wood, or by carving. Some that I recall:

First and last time Tony
Minong Ridge: BlisterTwister Trail

and, regarding the White Moose that lived on the Isle:

We saw the White Moose!
--the Detroit Boys

underneath that was:

I saw Detroit! It sucked!
--the White Moose

Where?? For the love of god WHERE!!!????
:idunnoI don't know? We were just riding around and saw a cow and two partially grown calves. Saw lots of bison but no bears or wolves. One odd thing - it was late summer and relatively warm yet as we came around a bend in the road there was a couple of inches of fresh snow that went on for a mile or so. Princess also wanted me to get out of the car to get a close up picture of a buffalo bull. I waved the yellow warning sheet at her and asked if she had upped my insurance.

It's all by the coffee pot so fix a cup or make a glass of ICED coffee but I do have to warn you you might have to put your cup in the micro to warm it up. Sorry I didn't check in sooner I've been trying to finish what I started the other day seeing how FH is on his way home but won't be here till later so I still have a few hours remaining. I want to take advantage of having the weekend with him seeing how he is going out of town again next week (back to the location where they were this week) to pave seeing how they only milled it out this week. Almost the entire month of Oct he's going to be out of town and only home on the weekends.

Good morning, all thank you @cow whisperer I'll take a double cup and will be back shortly.
Again @DobieLover pictures are so beautiful, I don't mind flying When my wife and I travel for a long weekend it's always by car. We always find a flea market or a thrift store, but we will always find that one unique place to eat.
If and when I retire, I do want us to travel and see Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and many more.
