BYC Café

These pictures are from Wednesday when we got to the park pre dawn. The bison I got a shot of had frost on his head!
The canyon picture with the sun coming up in the back is sunrise. Piper and I had to hike down about a half a mile to get to the point to take that shot.

Is Piper 'hiking' too or are you carrying her?
I haven't carried her anywhere. She can go further than me easily. Especially because I've got a bad bum leg right now. I think I hyperextended a muscle and/or tendon deep in my left buttock about 6 weeks ago and with all the hiking it's gotten worse. I wake up about a dozen times a night because of the pain and can't bend over sometimes. Sneezing really stabs me there!

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee.
I'm surprised I woke relatively early this morning. Meg and I talked from the moment we got here around 7:15 last night until after 1:00 in the morning. I'm listening to one of her roosters crow!

The very first animal I saw when I drove in was Papa goose! He's got another group of chicks he raised and is still parenting them and they're half grown!

Piper is doing 'Piper' and working on winning over 10 yr old Nahla and ? yr old Chick. Watching Piper trying to play with Nahla is like watching her play with a horse. Nahla is a St. Bernard mix. She's nearly got Nahla. Chick is trying to hold back but you can see her breaking down and the tail start wiggling at Pipers antics. She'll have them both added to her list of dogs that love her by the end of the day.
