BYC Café

Good Morning, Cafe’.

My husband’s wife is an idiot. She proved that fact yesterday when she used one of these:

Instead of one of these:

To cut one of these:

And ended up with these;

I blame the neighbor. She gave me some leeks. And big, fat giant potatoes. I decided to make soup. Lesson learned.

Bobbi-j, I am laughing with you, not at you. Love the sense of humor....
I hope you heal up soon! Hugs, too!
Tomorrow I have to take a friend to out-patient surgery so I guess today is the final push to get ready for the "snow" on the weekend.
Thanks for the hot coffee!
Enjoy the day and stay SAFE, Cafe!
I’ve gotta laugh. It was a completely ridiculous thing and totally avoidable . (Have you ever had a time where you were about to do something, and your brain tells you, “That’s not a good idea”, but you do it anyway?) The most irritating part is- instead of going in right away, I just put a couple of bandaids on super tight (my finger was purple), put a waterproof bandage on top of that, finished making supper, ate supper and cleaned up the kitchen and then decided at 10:00 to go get it checked out… I tend to have a “it’ll be better in a bit” mentality.

A friend confessed to something like this the other day when we went out to dinner.

Back during the 4-day power outage, some friends were at his house, and they thought they had better drink up the beer while it was still cold. He went for a bike ride to see how the road clearing was going (trees down all over from the storm). He said he thought, "Maybe I shouldn't be on my bike... I've had a few... I'm a bit wobbly..." Got to the corner just fine. Tried to turn around and wiped out. Rode back home, elbow dripping blood.
:lau

It's only funny because he was ok. But still, funny.
