BYC Café

No big thing here. No hail, nothing taken down by the wind around the house, and, miracle of miracles! the power was off for only about 3 hours! Estimated restoration was 9 pm tonight, and 140K people without power.

Usually it's more like 3 days to get the power back on out here.
No disasters here either, power was out for about 4 hours.
I cheered as it's supposed to get near 90 later.
Garage flooded.

The sky as the front headed in was scary!

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Yesterday was in the low 80s but it was pretty comfortable because of the low humidity. Today will be pushing 90 with rain starting right around the time I get home from work. That's okay though because after I take care of all my chores, I'm going to bed. I barely got 3 hours last night because of my leg.

Well... this morning got much better after I got in gear.

I wanted to remove Savannah from her nest this morning instead of this afternoon because I gave her eggs to her 3 weeks ago Thursday late afternoon. I picked her up carefully as usual and saw a pipped egg then a little damp yellow chick fell out from under her wing!

How exciting! They are a day early. I named the first one out CayCay in honor of Cayuga. That was her nick name. A life lost, a new one arrived.

I saw/heard a cardinal on my Shepherd's hook singing right before I went to my car.

When I turned on the car, the radio started playing "Everything Will be Alright". I was driving down the hill singing along and bawling my eyes out.

I switched stations when the song was over and Pink Floyd "Another Brick in The Wall" came on. Dave's favorite band.
