I've had Brohdi since Saturday night. When I ran them yesterday, he was chasing and barking at... yellow butterflies.

A friend has a beagle that he has stopped running at field trials because, given the opportunity, she will stop trailing a rabbit and chase butterflies.

We are having some nice late summer days lately with warmer temperatures during the day.

I decided to curry the dogs, brush them and rub coconut oil into their coats/skin before spraying them with Mane N Tail Shine On spray.
I also clipped Bella's ears.
Now they all keep licking each other.
Affection is not the motivator here.
They taste good!

I canceled my week long trip to the Thousand Islands this week for obvious reasons. But I really want to do that river cruise that takes you to Heart Island for a self tour of Boldt Castle.
I'm just going to run the dogs first thing in the morning and take off and have somebody take care of them during the day and feed them their dinner. I'll just make a long day trip.I booked the cruise for October 11. Should be good strong fall color then.

And then, just because I do like to do things with the pups, I booked a 70 minute Fall Foliage train ride through the Lehigh valley in Pennsylvania. We're going to do that on Monday September 30th. 2 days after Dave's Celebration of Life. I'm likely going to stay in a dog friendly hotel that night so we can explore more of the park and visit Hickory Run State Park the following day before we come home.
