BYC Café

Just received a call from the vet. Told him about the improvement in Will. Blood and urine analysis did not show the development of 'transitional cancer cells' - whatever that means. The plan of action is to continue with the Amoxicillin and Prednisolone. We will stop the antibiotic and gradually reduce the Prednisolone dosage until we can wean him off completely or find the lowest possible maintenance level.

Interesting side note. When I paid the initial bill, he looked at it, shook his head, and said, "That's what I used to charge for a C-section." The 30% 'friend' discount he gives me really helps.

This was best I have before I did a bit like feet and topknot bad I have only a 4 inch scissor right now.
This is Mocha.

Hubby arrived safely in Charlotte. :)

I got a lot done yesterday. Partly because I got up with hubby at 3:30 to help pack the car for his trip, and never went back to bed. That inspired me to get up at 5 today.

One of the main things I need to do today is get the shower curtain part of the wind block done. That will get the four shower curtains that have been on my closet floor since June out of the way. :gig

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I may have set the clocks back last weekend but my body doesn't care. I was up at 3:45 this morning.

That half blind doe was too close to the pond landscaping this morning but Piper ran her off. I think something made a strike at my pond because when I got home all the fish were all the way at the bottom. I cut down the water plants a little over a week ago so they have no cover but should be fine by going to the bottom. And I have WAY more baby fish in there than I realized. And 2 more shubunkin babies!

I won't tarp my run until next weekend. It's still too warm to close it off although it's freezing now and I have a fire in the stove.

This is Mocha.
Mocha?
He/she doesn't look like chocolate.
How old is he/she?

Rascal was a dark glossy chocolate brown when I first got him at 6 months old. By 2yo he had white hairs all thru this coat, which is called 'blue'.

Cut short all over(1/2" body, 1/8" face) sometimes I'd leave a tail poof or a top knot...once a mohawk from nose to tail.

Yup.

I went into the bedroom to open the curtains and startled a heron from the edge of the pond. I intentionally designed the pond with steep sides and the minimum depth is over 3 feet to keep herons from wading in and taking fish. The only chance it has of nailing one is if the fish don't immediately react to it landing at pond's edge and dive down.

They are all back at the bottom of the pond again.
