Happy Thanksgiving, Cafe’!
A little blowing snow here, but not enough to be a problem. Heading to town to spend the day with the local family, my mom, and a friend who is adjusting to life with her husband in the nursing home.

Did anyone watch the Lions game? At one point, they explained how they make John Madden's "Turducken." When they sliced it into pieces, I said, "Oh, man, it looks like a giant lash egg!"

Naive question. Do you have to rinse frozen veg before using it?

Never rinsed them at all just figured it was good.

Hospital had a fit and fell in it.
They sure figured out how to do a release fast enough.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I had my first Thanksgiving across the street with my widow friend and her friends last night. It was very nice and the food was fantastic. I brought home a big container of left over that will last today and tomorrow. Tomorrow, I go to my families Thanksgiving. When you have a nurse for sister, holiday celebrations are often shifted.

I hope everyone had a wonder meal and time with family and friends yesterday.

We have often shifted holidays as well, or had someone missing from a celebration. Yesterday my paramedic son missed our family Thanksgiving because he was paged out to transfer a patient from our local hospital to a bigger one 3 hours away. I’m an EMT that lives 29 miles out of town, so I respond to ambulance calls in my area. One year, I was hosting and got called to a car accident. As I was getting my winter gear on, I was telling one son to watch the potatoes, and another one which dishes to put on the table and both of them to “help Auntie Mary with whatever she needs when she gets here.” It’s inconvenient to have the day disrupted, but if we get called, someone else is having a way worse holiday than we are.

Couple three inches overnight, got that cleared on the way out to do chores. Now it's coming down like gangbusters. Supposed to continue on and off for the next 3-4 days.
I used to revel in the snowfall, now I revile it.

No feasts here, tho the frozen drumstick is finally thawed so will roast that today...and make gravy and dressing, which are my favorite flavors for harvest celebration time.

I have been away from building for a year. I can't find anything and am getting very frustrated. I desperately need to organize all my tools and supplies. They are everywhere. I also have one pancake compressor that is dead and one good one. Guess which one I had down in the construction area? I need to make a scrap metal run and a hazardous waste run and sell off my old chest freezer, washer and dryer to free up space.
