BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee.
Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Back to work after a week off. I am having a hard time getting my brain to cooperate.
That's a daily problem for me.
Good luck. I used to dread the last day of vacation for its "adjustment" phase.
First day back always assured me that I wasn't paid enough - all of the things left undone while I was away. :barnie

Howdy Everyone,
🐎
I am not from Texas, but I love to say Howdy so much. Having my first cup of coffee now, the sun is out and I am dreaming of going to the beach....................so I dream on....

Many moon ago, I was working for an American company in Australia. The company head office was in Texas, when CEO of the company came over to Australia, I love it when I saw he actually wore cowboy shoes with the hooks at the back end, the jean and hat, he spoke with the Texan accent, it was a real deal seeing it in real life as I only see anything like that in the movie.😄

This morning I have been busy looking up the internet on Serama chicken vs Japanese bantam. I have a Japanese bantam look almost identical to a Serama, but I know that my little cutie pie is a Japanese bantam because the breeder told me so and also that it is very hard, very rare and very expensive to buy a Serama over here, that is if one can find a breeder to buy it from.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Mom has the chicks all over the place and is doing excellent with them. One of my problem hens had a go at her yesterday when I made the mistake of tossing raisins into the coop after mom had just walked in the door. The chicks were still on the stoop looking in. That is when Mystic had a go for Savannah. Then, lo and behold, Missy jumped into the frey and went for Mistic. Alecia used to be the one to defend broody moms. She died last year and I miss having her around. It was nice to see that protective behavior in Missy as she is usually a cranky gal.

I did end up having to go in and squash Mystic to the ground to settle her down and push Missy back to end the squabble.
