I'd guess skunk or raccoon.

I've never seen a skunk up here. Down in the valley, yes. My money was on a raccoon.
Makes me extra grateful that I have the electric fence to protect the chickens with Remi having been locked out last night.

Turtle. Probably painted. I see them the most.

I had similar troubles in addition to severe dry eye that was extremely painful. The solution was a large humidifier kept next to my wood stove. The last 2 years I haven't had any problems with my eyes hurting.

Thank you. I looked up humidifier online, they are mostly little one. I will find a medium size and get one. My eyes are itchy now, the dryness and cold air do that.

Good Afternoon,

I have not seen a hawk in real life, but I have seen snakes in my backyard as they migrate about in summer.

Already had a few tea/coffee already, drinking endless hot drink to keep warm. My chickens combs are powdery, it is cold/dry/and windy so not just my chickens I am also having skin itch due to this. The moisturizer, and drink plenty of water..etc..

I am on the verge of adopting a bantam rooster...on the verge of it..waiting for confirmation that the rooster is bantam. I am often thinking of getting a bantam rooster, it entered my dream of picking up an abandon rooster on the sidewalk. Logic tells me do not do it, forget it and so I look and look and...found one....God helps me as I can not help myself.

This morning I put down various grain seeds to grow green for my chickens to eat, I covered those and I hope that my chickens will not dig them up. I will soup them if they do!

Here's a refill!

I'm going to make rhubarb jam today. And go to the grocery store and go get some more chicken feed. A high of 71° today, so it's probably the last time I'll have weather this cool to do some prolonged cooking.

I have one rhubarb plant that is going gangbusters! It sent up 3 flower stalks, but I cut those off. I think I might split it early next spring. Or wait a year until another one is bigger; I've discovered I really like rhubarb jam.
