Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I just purchased wire swing top lid glass bottles with labels and twine and 100 organic vanilla beans to make homemade vanilla extract for me and for gifting. I'm getting the vodka later today.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
I have some in my pantry that a friend made.
I added another 1.5 beans to the bottle and let it continue to sit for stronger flavor.
I love it! It gives a person an excuse to bake goodies, LOL!
I believe the bed will work out just fine. DH is still sleeping...
I suppose some wood splitting and maybe chipping clean-up on the top of the hill for fire mitigation is on the list for today.

Good Morning

6.15am Sunday morning and the sun is yet to come out. This morning is not so cold, but still a hot tall cup of coffee is great to greet the day.

The weather authority is saying next week East Coast of Australia will be battered with damaging rain/wind/surf - I am on the East Coast.

So today I will start preparation for this horrid coming weather. Get a few bags of mulch, fasten all covers for my chickens, make room in the shed so that I can house my chickens in there if need be...etc

My Australorp bantam is determined with her broodiness and I am feeling broody myself because of her. I ordered feed for delivery instead of going to the store because I fear my broodiness might end up having me bring back a few day old chicks home.

I will enjoy a few days left of weather free drama and get ready for what seem set/might come.
