Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.
I went to a new poultry swap I found yesterday. I think I strongly offended somebody who pulled up next to me and unloaded their crate of chickens too close to my car. I immediately hopped out of my car and move my boys to the other side of my car in the shade of my open side door which served a dual purpose to keep other people from parking too close to me!
One boy got claimed. He's going to be replacing the current flock rooster that's been attacking the grandkids. The little kid attacker is going into the soup pot.
I have another swap I'm going to today that is closer to home. I will be dropping off the Easter Egger to the man that wants him. He lives less than 3 mi from the swap. I'm going to try to convince him to take one of the Ameraucanas as well. All the brothers are getting along just fine. Right now I have 4 of them in the maternity ward together with zero issues. Of course that could very well change but there are a lot of people who successfully keep two or more roosters in their flock without them attacking each other all the time.
