BYC Café

Hubby and I have our semi-annual dental appointments today. It's sunny and bright right now, but is supposed to cloud up and more rain is on its way later.

I thought we'd eat lunch out at Qdoba, which is near the dentist's office, but hubby voted down that idea, since we're going out to dinner tomorrow.

Good Morning😎

Tea is here, coffee done before 5am. The sun rises before 5am now and the feather kids are pushing, and screaming to get out of the coop. My legs are still asleep, but I must walk as fast as my half asleep legs can take me.

All services done now - let the feather kids out, food and water ready and while they eat their brekkies I clean their coop, get the nestboxes ready for their morning business. After that go back to the run clean out morning giant stinking poops. All my 3 chicken coops and runs.

A friend that has a colleague who lives in a semi rural area want to give away her 20+ recently hatched chicks, they already have over 100+ chickens. This is such a torture for me, I want them! But logic firmly pointing finger at me..consequences! and consequences!

This morning while cooking breakfast I listened to podcast explain news of the day. My blood pressure raised, the feeling hopelessness overcome me. I changed to podcast new laws..society is getting sadder.

We are having hot, warm, dry, wind and more dry windy weather!

Have a great day ☀️

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

Last day of work.

My BIL and I have been working on getting UN out of BIL and my sister's house. It's come down to a used trailer on a very small lot, preferably one with water and sewer services. Such a lot exists down in the neighborhood I lived in for over 15 years. The one that had several catastrophic floods. And a trailer was on the lot until after the last flood.
It's a hair under 1/2 acre and the FMV is listed at just under $2,800. The current owner paid $9,000 for it and has done nothing with the land since 2011. He owns at least 2 dozen properties in the county, both vacant land and improved, totalling over 300 acres and probably over $2 million in value. What does he care about a tiny flood lot?
HTG and I are going to try to find him and talk him into selling the lot for it's current FMV. Then I can have it built up over the winter to raise the elevation a foot or 2 to make sure the trailer would be well above the last flood level. Then we could look for a used trailer to put on it.
