I put up the windbreak material on the coop yesterday.

I usually wait to winterize my run until November. So far I don't think it needs it.

I just came in from cleaning the coop windows. It ended up being cleaning the coop windows, all the siding, trim and the roof over the extension. I was positively filthy after that and I just got out of the shower. But I do feel great that it's done and it is a stark difference.

I scraped the dust off the windows as I closed them.
I agree makes a huge difference.
Going to put a trailer membrane on the coop roof.
Dh put a metal roof on leaks like a sieve so.
When it dry take all the tarps off paint it.
Sorry light bulb moment.

Good Morning,

Tea is here. We are having dry, windy and dry heat. My lawn is turning brown, burned out. I water the lawn every evening and early morning, but I will do that quickly just 1 a day now as we are not having rain so I will ease down on using up water.

I put my washing machine hose out in the garden so that the laundry water can water the lawn that way. Everyone over the other side is getting ready for the cold weather. We are over here trying to survive the dry heat I trimmed the inner feather of my Pekin bantam. Today I will trim my Wyandottee and Barred Rock hens.

Houses that celebrate Halloween over here have lots of decorations at the front of their houses, the kids know which houses to knock on. I am seeing more and more of kids and adults walk past my houses each year. I don't do anything for Halloween, I did try to have Christmas in July as July is our winter season, it is nice to have a cold Christmas....Not shocking hot and sweating while cooking a big bird in the oven, not that I've ever done that.

I cleaned the coop went out in beaners as it is wet.
No horrible winds mild ones.
Tried to pay the Sirius bill their system is down.
Sometimes this is frustrating telling over and over that I am widow.

Penny, I'm sorry.

We're collecting our neighbor's mail while he's been gone for 6 weeks, visiting his daughter in Virginia. He's the neighbor whose wife passed this last June.

So many of the pieces of mail, magazines, etc., are addressed to his wife.

Sometimes this is frustrating telling over and over that I am widow.

I hate having to explain that situation. It rips the scab off every time.

Maybe contacts on the pressure switch needs cleaned. Fire ants get into mine occasionally and have to be dealt with. But good luck with whatever it ends up being.
