Today is the calm before the storm, literally, with the weather, and figuratively with the cooking. We're going to do the Thanksgiving Day cooking tomorrow, the day before. Then hubby can get grumpy about the Lions game on Thanksgiving Day without any kitchen distractions.

If the roads are ok on Thursday, I might go to the local grocery store, find a bench to sit on, pop in some ear plugs to block out the screaming kids and blaring Christmas songs, and read my Kindle. I won't buy anything, just sit and read and not be here.

If the roads aren't great, I'll go sit in the chicken coop until my feet get too cold, then get warm in bed under the electric blanket.

Good Morning ,

2nd coffee is ready. Heavy rain and strong wind last night for an hour. This morning, fixed a few broken covers on chicken's shelters. More rain/storm is coming.Grrrr

This morning we have Greek cooking show on tv, the scenery of the olives orchard, the open sea, the warm sunshine.....give me hope for our weather here. I ended up cooking the Greek soup on the show. I substitute their chicken with lentil and boiled eggs.
