A couple more nights of around 10°F and then the warm up will begin. Highs in the upper 20s/low 30s, and over night down to the teens. Hubby will have to say goodbye to his good skiing snow, but he has had a lot of nice ski days this season!

Today is the last day of the polar vortex here.

I've got 95% of my packing done and have finished everything I could think of to prep the house and my animals for easy care. I stupidly cleaned the house. I know these kids aren't going to keep it this way. It's just a habit I've always had. I like to come home to a nice clean house. Even if I tell the kids that's what I want, my house will not be clean... to my standards.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

It's been so cold for so long that my heated water base is having a hard time keeping liquid water for the chickens. I had to bring the reservoir in last night because it was a solid block of ice up at the top. Just one more thing for me to worry about while I'm gone. I have no problem doing the extra work to make sure the birds have something to drink but C is going to have to do this for me while I'm in Asia.

If you hang a light bulb near , but not touching the reservoir, it may help keep it unfrozen.

It is now 7:25pm Monday over here, I am cooking dinner - baking Mac&Cheese. I am so exhausted with the hot weather over here.

I drove on motor way for 4 hours today with my chickens and we were all so very tired. Once dinner is done I would like to watch a good movie to chill out.

DS$ won his match in overtime. Very exciting and then we smoked steaks and had a great time hanging out.
I think that I am taking DAF to an appt tomorrow. I have some time to clean the cobwebs out and change the
"I thinks" to "I knows"...
