BYC Chat - Saying Goodbye to an old friend

So how do you propose we reunite to chat if we are not allowed to talk about where to reunite in the place we have in common. Any suggestions?

I am not trying to be difficult I just want to be able to comunicate with my friends. The temporary chat was taken down very abruptly so we did not have a chance to get another option worked out. We will be happy not to involve BYC in chat.

Good question. Email would be a great way to let your good friends know where you'd like to chat. PM's might be appropriate, but they must not be spamming to other members (i.e., they must be welcomed and expected). We just don't want to deal with reports of spam and/or drama from other chat systems. Our moderators already have plenty to do.

I agree we could have moved or created a chat room ahaed of time and made an easy transition had we known chat was gonna close. Hind sight is 20/20 tho we are just trying to find a way to tell people what is happening.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the transition could have gone smoother. We'll definitely work to do a better job in the future.

I know there are matured adults and minors in here but what I noticed in some websites, they do have a section for 18 or 21 years and OLDER and when one click on that forum, it will have to have a age thing because if you were a minor, you would not be able to get into that particuar thread or that forum. I know kids would be curious and lie about their ages but there has to be some kind of security barrier.

Is that an option?
