Good Morning BYCer's
Hey cookbooks are always great...
You are looking at a really big under taking , work wise as far as compiling the recipes, , indexing, page layouts, proof reading, printing decisions (paper type, binding, color, or B&W) coalating, proof reading ( there is alot of checking)
and that's just to ice the cake as it were... I am not trying to be a downer on the idea ..
I think it's great Just my sister and myself just 2 yrs ago finished the family cookbook. And it took a bout a year from start to finish. And she works at a printshop for a college. She got to get supplies at cost but it still ended up costing about $20.00 per book to do. She spent many many of late nights working on it
and I did quite a few weekends helping. But the results were well worth it to us and our family.
Still a cookbook is great I have 3 book cases full of them.
What do ya think about putting the cookbook on a CD? No printing unless the reader wants to print it out...
Still proof reading and indexing and so on but no paper, binding and printing costs.
Just Food for thought....
Sorry I really am not trying to put down the idea..... I like the idea
It is a good one and I would be wanting to add recipes for it and get a few for gifts myself.. Of course 1 for myself...
