Well y'all I have six squares left to finish and then get them mailed. Going to work on them now while the race is on.

I must say you guys have really come along in your crocheting endeavors, lol. Me I am still doing the same old granny square and back and forth DC's.

I more than likely will skip the next swap, but, I have really enjoyed doing this.

Well off to finish my squares!

and my crochet-a-long..not finished with the country stitching and then have to border it in the grey,a lot of work left to do on it yet...

not one of my favorites but will look nice on Travis' bed, pretty manly I think with the colors.

I did a trial & error tonight. Went to make some homemade carmel popcorn, just to find out I had no vanilla

. So I had some of those splenda flavored packets for coffee...

yep you guessed it, I used the French Vanilla one. Turned out pretty good

Watched the news, looks like the "cold" weather is on our heels

well gals it looks like I finally beat Scrambled and the Roosters to the coffeepot this morning! Woke up a 3am with body pains, 27 and its already starting, OWCH! we have some rough weather moving in the week so thats more than likely why, well that and all the heavy lifting and bending all day the other day cleaning out the guest bed room. well SE love the spiders I am going to work on mine today.
update on the dentist sitch, I call the chain HQ and left a message and the quality director called me back from his home on his Medical leave day, WOW! and apologized very sincerly, and offered to have the regionly dentist that all the dentist report to come out and take care of the girls and all their work from here on out, but I said that we had already rescheduled to go some where else, and then said that they are going to pull that dentist and have him take more classes and tests and then have to work under a top dentist from now on so when he does any work it has to be approved be the top dentist and he is not allowed to speak to the patients without the top man present. WOOO HOOO! my little ole voice made a big difference. YEA! and to top it all office I told him that most of the long standing ped dentist offices new patient lists are booked sold due to the fact of all the bad serivce that their clinic have been dishing out and he said that he is going to have all the big wigs down here to find out what in the world is going on in there. SO awesome to make a big difference that will benifit the whole.
well we didn't get to go camping this weekend as DH is still not feeling well, but yesterday morning I went down to the store to get me some coffee creamer and notice that our little ole store was gettting alot more business than usual that morning and found out that there was an estate sell going on at a house right next to it so me and the girls to a walk around to see what all was going to be sold and I came across 2 large trashbags full to the brim with YARN YARN YARN, so I hurried back to the house and put some more approprate atire on in stead of sweats and a t-shirt and hurried back down and by the time I had got there the bags had been sold in a lot of craft stuff that stretched the length of a trailer house, so I tracked down the buyer and was able to by both bags for a 1.00 a peice. then stayed for the rest of the sell and got one more bag that was hiden among all the stuff, 2 apple bushel baskets to store yarn in, a ton of 1920's and 30's crochet mags and cliping and patterns,, 4 boxes of junk just to get 6 skiens of yarn but only paid a 1.00 for all of it, a really old yogi bear type picnic basket great for storing yarn in, a mink fur coat collar that haley wanted for her dressup trunk, and free treadmill that works. I think. and for all of that I only spent $8.00. can you believe it. wow, it was fun, and after counting and sorting all my yarn treasures I ended up with 88 whole unused skeins of yarn 3 crochet hooks on of which is double ended. and a few other hidden treasures that where a good find. well I guess I am going to try to lay back down so I will catch ya'll here in a bit Maw.

Hey all, sorry I got in late.
My squares are all done and Ill try and get them in the mail this week if possible.
We're in the middle of adding on 4 more stalls to the barn before the weather gets cold here, so it's really busting butt time!
Ive already smacked my hand with the hammer once and have a huge blood blister from that one! Guess I should of had my bifocals on!!! lol

Maw, you are a yarn bargain finder of the luckiest kind!!!! My luck if I found that deal it would smell like it had been in a brush fire and be covered with 4 inch long cat hairs and my son couldn't breathe for days after bringing it in the house! I try to buy only sealed in plastic yarn off ebay for that reason...lucky girl!! I thought you might be still camping but I see you are sorting yarn instead!! Lucky girl!

No..that afghan is not the Caron pattern, the retro cicrles is my next project, this is the sampler afghan from the lionbrand site that thousands of folks joined a crochet-a-long to do together. I purposefully made it look rustic and I off-set all the stitching so if it looks like c+ work, it is and it isn't, lol! The squares are really nice. ONe block has front post on every row of stitches and another block is sc and alternating cluster stitch, the third block was sc and dc, I just mixed up the colors a bit so it would look "manly", I plan on trimming it out in sc with the grey, Travis has a grey futon in his room so I will put it there. The caron one is at the Caron.com site and is called retro circles..it has a teal blue inside circle in the picture, that is what I am replacing with the autumn red..all the others colors I will use as they are shown..still have not received my "chocolate" caron yet from the girl I ordered it from....hopefully that will time out well with my finishing this one.

I now have Athena's address ya'll and my plan is to send her a Christmas box no later than the week before Thanksgiving...sooooo, you all can send your own, she said I can share her address, or you can send your items to me and I will put them in one big box from all of us and send them together. Should be fun!!! Let me know ya'll.

Where is Shanah? Egg wrangling to have more to sell at her stand? We actually have alot of folks MIA, wish they would chcek in more often!!

Here I am!

Been busy building a chicken tractor this weekend, and since the kiddo was at a friend's house, DH and I spent some time vegging in front of the tv with movies.

I have made projects, but

I am not very fast at those squares. (Really fast at circles, so I could have a lot of those done for the spring... but that doesn't help me right now.)

My head hurts really badly today...not sure what's up with that.... ow...

You all are just so speedy with stuff. Me, I took on side things and now I am not sure I can get my squares done.

Great work everyone on their projects! Everything looks so cool! I hope everyone makes money or that everyone enjoys their heartfelt gifts from your hardwork!

Today is finishing chicken projects, cleaning out chicken coop, return of the kiddo, and preparing for the week. I did end up selling most of my eggs, but Friday was really slow until everyone (and I mean everyone) ignored my egg selling hours and caught me after hours and on the wrong days!

Oh well.

I am off to

Whatever you all think Athena might be missing would be fun..since she won't actually tell us!!!!...I'll get a flat rate box or two and start getting those ready, so whatever ya'll think.

Ya'll might want to look for some of that parachute cord too, maybe just a fat nylon cord would work too..and if anyone sees those directions online somewhere for the battle bracelets or buddy bracelets or boy scout braclets (she said they are a boy scout spin off) then please post them..course how we can make them I have no idea since we have no access to iraqi coins or battle dress buttons..hmmmm...don't know about that at all..maybe we can just help her out with the cord?! lol!! Guess that was getting ahead of ourselves there without the buttons or coins...


I swear I have GOT to get off this forum and make breakfast, shower and do something productive today!!! Later ya'll, this time I really mean it......I think!!!

Hope that helps. I think all you speedy crafters out there could use any kind of bigger button for the clasp... or send buttons (army surplus stores and stuff might have some of those too.)

It is amazing sometimes what one voice can do, glad you were able to get something done with the dentist.

You know Maw I was 23 when I first started having arthritis problems, hope that isn't your problem.

And oh how lucky on the yarn!!!

Guess I got my afghans mixed up, oh well still beautiful! I did go &

look at the one on Lionbrand, that one will be really pretty too.
