it's a rainy monday here. Good morning!

I think all of you are just having fantastic weekends with horseback riding and camping. I hope I am able to do that someday. (What do you all do with your chickens and critters when you go away?)

We still have a mink. *sigh* At least I think we do. I haven't heard if the poor thing was trapped or not yet.

Had a real slow egg day Friday. Hung out the sign today to see if I can get rid of some more. Not sure with the rain.

I am off to have lazy hooking Monday, I hope. Seems like every time I say I am going to get hooking I get distracted.

I just cannot do it now. I am pretty overwhelmed with stuff going on here at home and I just don't have the energy or resources to participate. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with you gals in the spring. It was really fun chatting with you all and participating last spring, even though I haven't been on here in a while.

Secret Santa Items: Must be a HANDMADE item of reasonable cost or investment. For example .... if I were to crochet a long scarf out of nice yarn and add a spider ornament to that, I would think that would be a nice gift...if I made a record bowl with the crocheted washcloths and the music cd and music soap like I plan to make for my co-workers, that would seem like a nice gift to me too...you all are talented and what you make does not need to cost much, just be thoughtful about it and it will mean the world to whoever gets it, I'm sure

Santa Assignment: On November 16th, every person on the list will be sent the name of their "secret" person. Please do not reveal which name you have!!! It is a "SECRET"!!! I will send you the name and address of your "secret" person and you will be required to make them something and have it shipped to them no later than December 15th. Only after or during shipping are you to reveal to the person that you are their Secret Santa!!


How to sign up: Send me a pm with your name and address and you will be added to the list. Only myself and the person you are assigned to will be given your name and address.

Feel free to save your present until Christmas or open it when you get it..either way, please take a picture and share the fun experience with the rest of us!!! The main objective here is to have fun with this project..simple, easy and fun!!!

This would be a great time to recruit new members to this thread!!

Kris we will miss having you in this swap, are you sure you can't stay? if not please stay on the thread as much as you can, we love hearing from you!. and we look forward to having you with us in the spring swap.

ris we only went out for one night and we left at noon, we feed the chickkidies early and then we got back a noon the next day so then feed the chickkidies later in the evening. But if we ever decide to go for a weekend getaway the in-laws live right across the pasture and they usally take care of them for us, and we do the same for her chickens when the go off.

No chicks yes I did get my exercise sunday, just not the way I wanted. BUt today my cubalaya kicked his behind so bad that he had to go hide in his barral and play dead so he would go away. LOL I just sat back and laughed cuz he had it comin! EVIL CHICKEN!!!!

Mangle glad to hear from ya gal, sorry to hear about the internet, if DH doesn't get his check in this week we might have to start a string and can communication line for all of us to stay in touch LOL. we are feelin it here too.

Purr glad to hear from you too, hows things a going on your end? Hope your doing ok. any new project yet?????

(blaylee is trying to sneak away with my coffee pot, hummmm you know something funny is fixing to happen here in a few mins. she just go the main plastic part not the decanter. but still it is kinda funny to see a 3 yr old walking by with spg. tongs and a coffee pot draging behind her.)

As soon as I get all my ends weaved in, I'll get them off to Maw! Hope ya'll like them!

Today will be full of my trying to get my house cleaned and get my usual work done. Right now, I'm gonna got get something to eat and then start my day! I'll try to catch ya later!

Morning gals up and got the coffee cooking, done loved on the horse, thats a must every morning or he won't speak to me the rest of the day, so I have my morning shot of horse slober in my hair, great mix of grasses from the pasture and morning dew. LOL all my animals are spoiled!!! going to do somemore stuff on my stock, and then work on me secret santa stuff. So it will be a interesting day I'm sure.

SE, I saw a pic in a catalog, well the one with the chicken purse in it, and they had made soap with a plastic goldfish inside it and but it in a baggy, ya know like when you win a goldfish at the fair and bring it home in a bag it was kinda neat idea I thought you might like it. great gift Iteam for kids. at least my kids would love it. silly girls. well I am off to cruse the net a while before the little one wakes up so I will post ya'll later. have a great day!
