I worked my poor hubby to death today cleaning my chicken pen! So nice to have him help though. We changed all the pine shavings and took out some dirt and cleaned up so much it smells fresh and clean and the chickens are tired from being in the yard..which we also mowed and totally cleaned up the back..looks really nice for a winter, everything dead yard, lol!!! It will be a crochet and bed early night I imagine for us old folks!!!!

My frizzle is getting pecked on her wings. Is there anything I can put on that to keep them from pecking her? It's not real bad. Do you think I should bring her in away from the others, I'm just afraid that will make her get pecked more later if she doesn't stay with them.

Anyone have any advice?

Got a bunch of new yarn today!! Shopping therapy today.

My day has been great. Hubby has been helping more. We had a talk.

BTW: What kind of yarn is everyone using for the swap. Worsted cotton or what? I'm kinda lost on what to use? So many choices.

After a long day at work i am back. Took me a little while to get caught up reading but I always enjoy reading anything new anyone posts on here. While I was at work today I got my supervisor to go on the lion brand site to see all the cute lil animals that can be crocheted and she loved them. Does anyone on here know how to crochet left handed and know how to do the pop corn pattern?

Did I read back there somewhere that someone had found the chick pattern? I want to try that one first befor I go on to bigger things like the cute little bear.

I am asking about the left handed popcorn pattern cuz my supervisor said her mother used to crochet allll the time and had several blankets left when she died but there was one that my supervisor really loved that wasnt finished and she was looking for someone that might could finish it for her so she could give it to her daughter. Her mother was left handed and she thinks it was the popcorn stitch that she did. I told her to bring it to work next Saturday so I could take a pic of it to show yall to see if that is what the stitch really is and if anyone could finish it for her. I think she is willing to pay but a little nervous about putting it in the mail to someone she dosent know. I told she could trust the ppl I have gotten to know on here.

been busy here today...went shopping came home doing laundry,cleaned chicken coop,rabbit cage and the babies house. we are going to be getting nasty weather here so i wanted to get all the pens/coops cleaned today.
well off to finish more laundry....sigh........ lol

Been busy here too. Tree getting, and cleaning and stuff.
Waiting for the tree's branches to fall a little bit more so we can decorate. I will *try* the Chick-mas tree with one or two chicks....no promises.

Lovemychix, glad things are going better. Yarn is whatever you want, really. I am pretty sure the swappers find uses for any of the squares. Get some pine tar at a sporting supply store (baseball section or ask) or at a hatchery supply like Murray McMurray and rub that on the spot where she is getting pecked.

The best I could do for the Chick-mas tree. Our tree was too pokey and they did not want to sit in it at all.
