Boy sure sounds like Scoot, Scrambled and Maw you 3 all have some beautiful work you're doing with that cathedral window pattern.

Maw , How did you know I had a bandaid on my thumb and finger?

I guess the yarn burns are a give away?

Happy Hookin girls I'm off to bed and to try out another Sunflower pattern. 3 down (gave up for now) trying 4th one.

Those sunflower squares are so pretty Karan!! Good uck with that!! Shanah, you'll get it and you will forget that you struggled with it at all!!

I am not doing the cathedral pattern the only brave ones there are Scoot and Maw. I am doing th esampler afghan from the lioonbrand.com site that is considered to be a crochet-a-long..very pretty!!

Off to work, later ya'll, happy hooking!!

Hey ya'll!
I have to count my squares and see where I stand on this swap. I've been distracted lately.
The hatching is over for the year and the bator is turned off
hit.gif

My boys each won a 'ribbon' at the fair
big_smile.png
They don't give out actual ribbons except to the 4-H kids though. I'm so bummed. I wanted to put those ribbons up over the bator!

I stopped making 6" squares for a while and made a bunch of little ones for my new niece due 10/17. Haven't finished her blankie yet but have a good start on it. I made them on the way to and from Atlanta last weekend. 3" squares crank out kinda fast, you know? Especially when you're used to double the size. 6" squares with real yarn will feel so HEAVY!

Have to address 150 wedding invites to make some $, and then I'll finish my squares for the swap.
With 80+ tomoatoes coming off the vines every 4-5 days I'm going to be busy making sauce to freeze, also!!!

Why does life have to stay so busy?

So you don't get bored!
smile.png

well I lied on the rounds I have to finish I have 11 more rounds thats 3 more color changes, but I should get a good chunk of that done to day and hopefully have it done tomorrow evening, so as to get it sent out to my mother on thursday, for her to give to her friend. I sure hope she likes it. Then I think I will work a few of those dishcloth patterns and bowl cozies and then get started on my CAL with scoot. That way we can help each other along on the pattern

.

well ladies have a happy Hookers day and I will post ya'll later today. Maw.

I was struck by yarn madness! haha! I bought 4 new things of yarn - just in case - I think it is really pretty, so some good squares should come out of 'em.

I am really getting into the project mood, and have a pile on my plate for Christmas now.

You hooker gals have awakened my Crafty Muse.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

..Hi guys,,okay..so today i officially became a hooker!!...
clap.gif
...here are my first 4 squares i made...the stiches are horriable..lol..but..i hope they pass for being acceptable for the spring swap?....thre was another pattern i really wanted to make...it had like a fan pattern in it(almost like a quilt) and you use like 8 differant colors in it....it was pretty neat...but..lol..as you can see..i'm barely passing with the regular granny squares...
lau.gif
....so i'll just have to keep up the practice.....thanks for letting me join..Wendy..

Hey everyone! Maw PM'd me earlier to check on me! LOL I guess I have been absent for a while. But, I have been reading and trying to keep up with what's going on.

Here's an update on me:

DH has completed his Vax-D treatments. He will now go in 1 month for another set of facet injections, then again in 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year, and then yearly after that for a few years to keep the scar tissue from reforming. He is doing much better, although he still has some pain, but not near what he was having. He can now go about most things without too much pain. We're praying that he continues to improve.

As for me, last Thursday morning I had an impacted wisdom tooth extracted, and had to go back today because I now have "dry socket". They packed it this morning and all I can say is "OH MY GOSH, THAT HURT!!!!!!"

I came home and took some pain med. and went to bed. I'm still hurting, but not quite as bad as before. Did I mention that I am TERRIFIED of dentists?

We're also trying to get our big coop done now that DH's back is doing better. My buff's are due to start laying within the next 2 weeks, so we're really under a time crunch!! DH has the nesting boxes almost done. Next, we have to fix the side of the building that was chewed off by a dog that the previous tenant had, and then plug the holes at the top (this was originally a storage building). After that, we've got to cut out some windows and their access door. Most of this does not take a whole lot of time, it's just having the time to get it done since he doesn't get home until late usually.

Now, as for crocheting, I finally finished the afghan that a lady paid me to make for her. I also finally settled on a patten for the swap, so now I need to get busy on getting them done, but I will!

I'll probably still be on sporadically for a while (probably until the weather turns cold), but I'll try to check in every so often.

Well, I'm checking in, too. Maw PM'd me since I've been missing.

Just alot going on. I'm still in for the swap, though. Probably won't be fancy squares as I had hoped, but do plan on staying in.

Been reading and keeping up, just been bad about lurking lately.

eastTNchick, amyquilt and wegotchickens girls thanks for checking in I was wondering myself if others were dropping out silently. Glad to see that's not the case.

eastTNchick Sorry to hear about your dentist visits hope you are pain free here soon. And I will pray that your DH has much success with his Vax-D treatments. My father has been dealing with severe back pain now for years just in the last 3 years he has gone through shot treatments and 2 surgerys, he still has a lot of pain he goes in for an implant at the end of this month, it is suppose to block the nerves for pain control. So I will keep your DH in my thoughts

Hi everyone checking in
frow.gif
...somehow I missed all the previous posts and need to go back and read them...Redhen's squares blinded me with their beauty....(even with rough stitches (and I couldn't see any) those are great!) I hope mine look as good and I *know* they have rough edges.
