Okie I know what ya mean I am on Strattera And I too was amazed of the difference I am able to stay on task so much better. Grandson is on it also and he made the Honor roll at school this year. clap clap And just think 2 years ago he was rolling around on the floor in class. wee

DH decided he wanted Ham & Beans left over from Sunday. So We did we'll have the shrimp tomarrow.

YAAAAAAAAAY!!! Someone who understands!!!

It's amazing how comforting that really is. That's what I was taking too. I feel so lost without it b/c I hate feeling so out of sorts
hit.gif
not to mention everyone's frustration with me when my scatterbrainedness (lol) affects them. I wonder if I should switch my son to Straterra. He's on one of the "stimulant" ones now. The name escapes me. (of course HAHA!) But the doc said that Straterra doesn't help the kids with the hyperactivity part.
hu.gif
<--- is that a shrug?

Algo, welcome! Love your afghans!!

Yep Okie, that's a shrug.
Well I don't know where the Dr gets that. Noah would drop things on the floor just so he had an excuse to crawl under his desk, would talk excessivly (sp?), and he had his poor teacher ready to pull her hair out when he just started rolling on the floor. We had a hard time to get him to sit still and finish any school work, you had to be right there and keep directing him back to it. He was on Ritalin and then Aterol (sp?) they both decresed his appatite and he was listless almost zombie like part of the time on those. He even said that the Aterol made him feel funny and he didn't like it. We then tried some herbal supplements and watching his diet really close for about nine months but that didn't work. So we started him on the Strattera , he is up to 35 mg a day, he is nine years old and in 8 months he gained nine pounds and grew an inch and half. And as I said he is on the honor roll in school now. He has been taking the Strattera for 2 years. He was started on 10 mg. Hey talk to the Doc again or ask another one cause it really has made a difference in Noah and he says it doesn't make him feel funny either.
I had taken before about 4 years ago and got to the point I could not afford it almost $100 a month. But now I get it from the drug company for nothing, they have these forms Paient assistance, (I think that's what it's called) ya fill out at the Doctors office just take a copy of your tax returns. The girls at my Dr's office filled them out and sent them in for me, now i call them when I have 1 months worth left and they order me more then i pick it up at the clinic.
Yes, I diffenantly know what ya mean about the scatterbrainedness
barnie.gif

Deputy Tallman (Chuck) picks on me once in awhile I still have scattered minutes or two, any ways he'll ask me if I'm off my meds again??
gig.gif
Then we both get a good laugh.

So yes I do know what you are going through..
Any time ya need to rant just tell me I'm here for ya

oH Jennifer, I LOVED MY SOAP smelled soo good in the shower I cut me a smaller bar off the big one and put the rest in my dresser undie drawer.
woot.gif

ha ha thanks! It doesn't look much like the other shrug. It looks more like a boogie man impression or being scared of the boogieman....
big_smile.png

WOW well I will definitely talk to the Dr about that! Thanks for the information and your support!!
hugs.gif
My DS doesn't like the way it makes him feel either, so we will try the Straterra instead.

I'm so glad you like your SS gifts Karan!!! I stressed over it big time, but I was happy with it in the end. I'm pleased the jam arrived in one piece! It was my first effort at making jam EVER, but I think it turned out A-OK for a beginner.
big_smile.png

On another note, I bought a Crochet starter kit to put in my Christmas stocking! I ended up buying a set of 5 or 6 crochet hooks and a book at JoAnns. Already have some brand new yarn to shove in there too. I'll see how the whole thing goes! I'll probably need to go to YouTube or something to get a live demonstration. I learn better like that.

Anyway, I'll be posting SS photos ASAP. I need to get DD to take a picture of me wrapped up in Scoot's blanket!

Nite nite ladies!

Karen I just took the time to actually read what it says on the pic of yours under your name and had to laugh. It was already so cute but now its even better.

Dena!!! Nice to see you!!!

Angie glad you're back ..big hugs..nice to see you Purr and happy the little Moose is home! FeathersAcres..wecome to the group...can ya'll make sure she didn't get lost in the shuffle yesterday?! Also need a first name please for the sign up

Happy to have you here!!

I told my mother about this group I had found and how much I already liked it. She said she wished she could get involved with something like this site and make new friends but she hasn't gotten the net at her place yet. Wish she would cuz I think she would love this site and group of ppl. She has just gotten her first bunch of chickens this year after I told her a million times how much she needed them. The place she bought already had a very nice chicken house and a really big yard. She loves them and she also crochets. I might get her over here sometime and try to get her on here.

Yes, Yes, get yer Momma to go ahead and join when she visits you next we would love ta have her. And she will love this place too But then she may be visiting you alot after that But what could be better, mother and daughter enjoying this together.. I just thought I should get my own Momma to join, geesh where is my head??? she crochets and stuff too, she doesn't have chickens any more, but that don't matter I'll share mine with her.

Absolutely agree totally..have her sign up and she will have something to be working on until the swap is over and she can check in when ya'll are together..and the spring swap deadline is May 1st I think so I would imagine in 4 months those shapes could get done!!!

Good to hear from Gingerchic, hope Mountains is ok...and the others we aren't hearing from! Some read the thread to keep up and never post too much, which is fine, but we don't want anyone to fall between the cracks and not be checked on occasionally
wink.png
...like Maw...where in the world is she???!

Thank ya'll for the compliments on the stitch markers, I do think the lobster claw hooks helped alot and most were the large ones until I ran out and used those smaller ones like in Shanah's picture. I use mine to hold the last loop of what I was working on when I put my work down. I have something in mind as a key ring with the skinny little crochet hooks for next swap...haven't quite got the kinks worked out of that one yet, might require some soldering..we'll see...

Jennifer that soap looks awesome, I swear I am gonna make an attempt at the lye soap this year. I have such a comfort level with the glycerin melt and pour but I love the looks of that home made bar!!! I certainly hope the soap thread sticks around on the forum!!

Gotta go, have a great day alll

I've been practicing for two weeks and last night I got brave and downloaded a pattern for a round fancy flower washcloth and I did it in one night. I had to restart my second row 4 times before I figured out what 3rd chain they were talking about.
hmm.png
But I got it and I stayed up until it was all done. It is beautiful and looks 3 D. Working the round is not bad at all. I just can't wait to get another pattern today and work on it. I was so excited I could hardley sleep last night wondering what I can do next. I'm def. hooked.

I'm thinking about making a bunch of bath baskets with these pretty little cloths and some smelly soap in them for the girls in my family.
BTW: Those SS gifts are georgeous!!!! I'm jealous. I didn't get in that this year, but maybe next year.
tongue.png
I did that when I taught school and I love it. Even though we are grown, we all love a little surprise and love at Christmas, just to brighten our lives!!! It's a gift to just make another person smile for me.
You girls have a nice day and I will def tell you what I get done next. I just can't believe I got this stuff so quickly.

Hi there all! I have errands to run and stuff to do. And my little Grizzly roo (see avatar) and his harem were so noisy this morning! I was awake much earlier than I needed to be. They must have been celebrating their 4 week birthday. I need to expand the brooder again.
