Busy Hookers yesterday!!! Finishing up my crafts yesterday and thinking about next Christmas..yes, I am compulsive like that, lol! Check out my craft pictures on the craft thread, posted them just now..all done

yeah!!

7 dead rats in two days, whoo hoo!!! Yeah DECON!!!!! Buying some more of that stuff today!! Apparently it takes about 4 - 5 days to work and then they show up every where, yesterday morning I let my chickens down and they all ran over to one area, I looked in the pen and there was a huge grey rat!!! I got a couple of leaves and wrapped around the end of his tail and pulled him up and he was still alive! Did back flips trying to bite me but he was dying so I flicked him under the shed too with the mass rat grave I now have under there. Can't believe I am so happy over killing the rats but I have worked on this effort for months to no avail and finally see hope!! Yeah!!

Daughter is back home today and we are taking her out to lunch for her birthday yesterday...we got thrown over in lieu of a 21st birthday party with her friends, imagine that, lol!!! Better yet, imagine how fun it would be to be 21 again and know what we know now!!! I think I would drink more, laugh more,travel more, miss work more and def. have more se... lol!!...although I did my share of all of those, hey you only live once right?!

Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! We are always happy to have new friends here in the crochet club! We'd love to have you join the fun, join the swap or any other projects that we have going on!!!!

When you have finished your Shapes, send me a pm and I'll send you my address so that you can mail in your work.

You will be required to send your crocheted shapes in individual ziplock bags with your username and real name on each bag. In addition, you will need to send $10.00 for Flat Rate return postage. Thanks so much!!!!!! Have fun!!!

now if I could just hide the kids in the closet, then I could go there now and do my shopping... Jim told me to go tonite to do it.. but I hate driving in the darkish hours....Everyone becomes stupid in the dark. ooooo Although,... a trip without kids means a stop at taco bell.....!!!

Very pretty hat!! I love that color. I finished an afghan for my cousin's baby with Watercolor a couple weeks ago.

I also want the previosly mentioned link to Angelcraft. I spent a good amount of time looking on google and had no luck.

So, for those of you with smallish children ... how many times have you pulled you little ones out of the tree? Grrr. My boy is cruisin' for a bruisin' this morning.

I'm off here to run to Wally World, then to Micheal's, then to my daughter's Christmas program, then to her Dr. appointment, and then to my Mom's to put up her tree. So, busy, busy day.

smallish children? um my youngest just turned 4.. they both try the tree climbin thing every time. Found if I beat their little hands good the first 3 times, they are too sore to try a fourth time.. i dunno, my way of fixing the prob. THis year seems to be doing good. I let them trim the bottom 3 feet of the tree. So far, all they have been doing is rearranging it. Which is no biggy since they are the plastic ones and thier ornaments with thier names on em.

hi,
just wanted to pop in, its going to take me days to catch up on all the reading.
But I got 10 dishcloths crocheted and given out in baskets with cranberry breads , choc chip cookie bars , homemade soaps a scratch ticket and some even got a knitted scarf.
Still have to do 2 more dishcloths before sunday for DD gift exchange with her coven.
Still don't have a tree up. probably do that this afternoon. Am Sophie sitting while DD and DSIL do their yule/christmas shopping.She has a cold, poor little thing. So we are watching Disney Movies and eating Popsicles.
Waiting for the guy to drop off my cord of wood and DH is still out on storm. And there's 2 more on the way one today and one Sunday.
But the most exciting news I have is I have a house chicken! My buff banty chicken went broody and one of the eggs pipped yesterday and it rolled away from her and it got cold and died. So I went out to the coop this morning not knowing what to expect. And I found a perfect little black chick with a yellow spot on its head. So I brought mama and baby and the 3 eggs she was sitting on in the house. Sooo cute!!!!

so now I am going to go back to knitting and crocheting and reading about 39 pages of posts.
