lol nope, not this week

They prescribed me an antibiotic that is supposed to be safe for pregnancy, and it apparently specifically targets UTI's. They didn't say anything about cranberry juice, though I do know that it is supposed to be good for UTI's. Got to get to the store today or tomorrow and get some.

Nope no bubble baths scoot. I stay away from baths altogether when I'm pregnant because I tend to want to take really hot ones, and that's not good for me or the baby. Not sure what caused it, but good information to have in case I'm tempted to take a tepid bath in the next 7 or so months!​

I am off for the day to take a shower and go to the kiddo's Christmas parties. DH is off today since he just got back from his trip so I get the day to get caught up on everything Christmas that fell by the wayside this week!

we got a ton of snow last night, on top of what we already had & about every other day, we are to get another inch or so. Pretty as long as you dont have to get out.

I knew there was a reason I love/hate the last days of school before Christmas. All we've done for three days is EAT!!! OMG - I feel like I could burst. And I just might, if I eat one more bite of anything. Yesterday, our department brought in lunch - soup & sandwiches, dessert, etc. Today, the PTA brought in Olive Garden. and homemade desserts. And some of the students & teachers have brought cookies, candy, cake, & chocolate. Anyone here hungry?

Okie - I'm so thankful that it's "just" a UTI. I know how painful those can be, but so much better than the alternative! Oh, and an ultrasound on Christmas Eve - how exciting!! Let us know when you get home!!! (You surely don't think there's anyone more important than your brothers & sisters here on Christmas Eve, do you?

lol Actually, I've never eaten there, lol There's one in Midland which is like 10 mins away. Odessa and Midland are the 'sister cities of the petroplex'...meaning, it's becoming a metropolis like dallas/ft worth, and all the other states that have stuff like that.lol

I've got 3 guineas sitting naked in my sink waiting on me to finish eating before they get plucked and stuffed in a zippy bag... WHo wants fresh meat? lol
Got a vid cam from my mom for my bday, lol have this 15 minute segment of the girls giving commentary to what Jim was doing, how he's doing it, and what it means for him to be culling the guineas. ie...it means we have meat in our freezer, cause having a lot of meat means we won't have to go hungry. For a 6 year old that is grasping what's going on, she has a pretty clear picture. Still not sure if we're messing up thier heads with being percise in telling them the facts of having chickens doesnt mean, birds to look at. They help with every aspect of having pets...

Oh yeah! We had tortellini w/portobello mushrooms, spaghetti, rigatoni w/breaded chicken, ravioli, chicken scampi, salad, & breadsticks. Then we had lemon bars, brownies, cookies, and fudge for dessert. Now, some kids have brought me a plae of MORE desserts. And there's lots of cake & stuff left in guidance from yesterday's party.

One hour and counting until the final bell today! Then I can stay home for the next two weeks!!!

Skand I think you are giving your daughters a good education. Got to know the realities of self sufficiency and country living. I want to get back out into the real country before Hannah is too much older so she can have a true taste of it as well.

Here's a taste of the snow that is tucking us in right now.

That car was totally snow free when Mark parked it in the driveway last night... so that is the amount of snow we got overnight and into the morning. Hannah's school superintendent called at 4:30 AM to tell us school was closed. It was exciting. The plows didn't come out until noon and the sheriff was not stopping for cars in the ditch because visibility and sliding was too bad.
