Hi everybody, just wanted to check in. It has been really crazy around here and I havent done any hookin. I am taking 6 chickens to Spooner today to a fellow BYCr. She lives in Ashland so we will both have ourselves agood 2 or more hour drive. They will be going to a good home though and that is what I want for them. My Avatar Jack is going along with 5 others.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!

Tiki, I like your new Avatar.

Be careful on your drive today with all those chickens.

It's been busy here on my end to, but I'll pick the hookin back up this week. I still haven't decided a color combo to use yet.

You asked for it, so here is my new baby. It woke up yesterday and was whining to be held. Can you imagine that after it's full grown.

We had to put a bigger stuffed animal bunny in it's brooder last night for it to snuggle with. It looked up at it like, "Are you my mommy!" After that it shut up, snuggled up with it and went to sleep. Whew!!!!! Peace at last!!!!!!

That baby is so CUTE

It looks like a chicken. Watch out about babying it. I made that mistake ONCE

fortunately it was only a banty modern game, but every time I go outside and she sees me she goes into whole paragraphs, and if I ignore her then she shouts, and more ignoring, more shouting.

It is comical unless you dont want the neighbors to hear.

On the way back from Spooner I saw a semi truck full of dirty turkeys

That always gives me a bad feeling. But, I cant save the whole world. Just maybe do a little bit in my own backyard.

The trip today, other than the turkeys, was a very nice one. Very nice to get away from where I am/was. Good day to drive too, but a little hot. Lucky I have air Cond.

afternoon all...sorry i havent been posting much...have a sick pup with parvo...so he's been taking up my free time(like i have any)
got a few rounds more in on my RR nothing to brag about...hopefully will be back hookin soon take care all

Oh Scootersmom, I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy.

How is it doing? Are you hanging in there?

I haven't had to deal w/ parvo before, but one of my friends have. I just remember how scary it was. The dog pulled through. I think the other part I remember her talking about was having to sanitize the house from top to bottom, while the puppy was at the hospital.

Hope it turns out ok. Keep us posted.

I am going to get started crocheting once I sign off here for the night. But last night, I worked a bit on a CAL from Crochetville that I started....2 years ago! Through 2 moves, and many crisises, I've dug it out and want to get it done.

It's a Snowflake Afghan CAL. The thread is still active and new members are joining the CAL still!!

Here's the 3 hex's I have completely done and I have many more just the white parts ready to finish with the background.

Going to switch between this afghan and my Fall blocks....hopefully doing that, both will go quickly.

Just finished a straight ripple afghan for dh, but haven't taken any photos yet. It only took me about 7 months to do! LOL

Enjoy!

those are freakin awesome!!!!!! i just might have to try them lol

Thanks!
The pattern is quite easy. I'm enjoying it. The pattern link is on the first post over on the CAL link at Crochetville.

I ereally dont have time to read all 40 pages of this. Can someone please sum up for me what exactly this is. I gather people are sewing blocks, but is there any particular pattern ya'll are following? If not, maybe a link to a pattern of some sort for these granny blocks? Also, what are we doing with them? I started crocheting last winter, burnt myself out of on it, and just now dug out my stuff again.
