Maybe this is what we need to get more MEN involved in hookin!

My MIL had a patttern for a Peater Heater. When we were looking at the one she sent to my DH my young daughter came in and asked what it was.. If you can immagine it, we told her it was a crocheted elephant, you could see the two "ears" and the "trunk"

Completed:

Regular Ripple Afghan for DH. Started in January, finally finished last week. Made from yarn from my stash, plus had to add 2 colors (woo hoo, reason to buy yarn lol). It is kind of narrow, but has TONS of stretch! I want to make another one, but will use a larger hook to make it a bit larger.

Here's the pattern I used, but instead of 6 rows per color, I used 8 and I left off the fringe.

Here's Mike's afghan!

Here's my purse I was working on. My own pattern for the squares, but assembled like this:

Since I designed my own squares, the size of mine is exactly what I was hoping for!

I still have to line it, then it's complete!

Now, on to finish my Snowflake Afghan!

That afghan is the exact pattern my g-ma always crocheted. It was the only pattern she knew and she knew it by heart. She continued to make afghans with it after she went blind! Very nice work on the purse.
