I can't remember how much $$$$ it cost to mail them in the spring swap.
tongue.png
We'll ask Mawchick how much $$$, b/c I think she is using the flat rate boxes.

Calling Mawchick...........how much mula for shipping????

There isn't a color scheme, so anything goes. It's scrap bag banazi....so go wild.
yippiechickie.gif

You just have to make sure they measure to be 6", but any pattern you would like.

Silly question, What do you guys mark them with? (I wouldn't want to do anything stupid like write my name in Sharpie!)

I think Mawchick said it could be marked anyway you would like. That way it would be easy for sorting and the receiver would know who made what square.
wink.png

In the last swap I printed a whole contact page of my avatar and tied the avatar pic to the corner of each of my squares. I'll post a pic for you.

Hi Kelly!!! No, not too late, any other new folks welcome too!!

My understanding..and yes, I have been wrong a time or two, lol!! but I think if you put each square into a sandwich bag, you actually can write your name on the bag with a sharpie or whatever or drop a paper in the bag with your name..the sandwich bags are a great idea..wish I had thought of it for the last swap!!! Def. will be doing that for the spring one!! The flat rate shipping cost is $9.95 for however much weight can be stuffed in the box. Maw can go to the usps.com site and order the boxes and they will be sent straight to her house for the return shipping. Those squares start to weigh alot..whodathunk that?! So the flat rate is the best deal since we will have at least 33 squares and maybe a bunch more since we are still weeks from the sign off cut off date...so Kelly, figure 20 bucks at most...ten to ship to Maw and ten to include for the return shipping after she sorts them.

Welcome back Shanah...sorry the trip didn't result in any under-kilt peeking but the yarn sounds like a good "end" result!!!

Yes Kim, we will have the motor repaired by saturday even if it has to go to the builder 3 hours away and be back by next saturday..we are leading the points at our regular track and winning the points championship is our goal this year so all efforts will be made to be race ready by saturday..see why I eat junk food for supper so much?? Home alone!! The race car is the mistress in this house, at least 9 months of the year!!

Risurocket welcome back glad to see you made it home ok and that you had some fun. Can't wait to see that yarn.

Coffeelady3 I marked my squares with a blank address label with my username wrote on it. They stay on pretty good and I did some experimenting and it doesn't pull the threads to very much and I but them in the corners of the squares.

Well ladies sign-ups are coming to a close on the 1st or do ya'll think we should keep them open for a couple a more weeks? let me know what ya'll think.

As for shipping if everyone will pm me they're zip I can pm you back with the cost of postage from me to you. Or you can just do the flatrate boxs all of which I have plenty of, left over from eggshipping season. I ordered 3, 10box bundles from the post of the flat rate and the reguler zip rate and only ended up shipping out about 6 dozen eggs so I have enough boxs now to ship half of my house.LOL. well post ya'll later maw.

As far as the shipping goes I think you should do what ever is easiest for you. You should just let us know. I think reg mail will cost all most as much as a flat rate box......I think????
hu.gif

I personally would vote to keep the close out date as is, b/c I'm slooowwwwwwwwww Hooker.

I guess there is plenty of time, but I feel so behind.

Scrambled I thought of you yesterday, b/c the soccer field where dd was playing her tournament was right smack dab next to a racing track and someone was on it letting it rev. That's great to know that Travis will be back on the track soon. Awesome!!!!! Keep us posted!!!!

Maw; karanleaf the lady who runs the american sumatra assocation live in glenwood mo. her name is Dee Mesjtick (not sure if I spelled that last name right) anywhos she is the one who sold me my sumatra boy summie. Boy he's really nice looking bird.

I don't know the name, does she have a web site/ Or I guess I could see if listed on American Sumatra Association web site if they got one. Might have to look her up.. Glenwood is not a very big town actually it's a Village, 280 is the population.

I got home from our Glenwood Reunion Celebration and went to bed and got up late 8:30am, well thats late for me .,.... I actually got to sleep in...
DH was kind enough to let the chickens out into the run and the Ducks out to run.

I plan to do laundry and give my kitchen a good cleaning....
I am sooo glad that all is done with the Jr Livestock and the Horse show for this year..

Here's how I marked my squares for the spring swap. It's kind of hard to see in this pic. I just printed out a whole contact page of my avatar pic, punch a hole in the pic and tired it to the corner of each of my squares. I'm not sure how I'm going to mark them for this swap yet.

I think my daughter claimed all the bright sunflower squares I made for herself, so I've been making some w/ more fall colors. Some are still bright, but the petal part is more of a mustard tahn bright lemon yellow.

Oooooooooh.... those are SOOOOO cute! I wish I had been more creative with my squares
sad.png
But I am just not comfortable yet with the adding new yarn thing
sad.png
I'll get there eventually
big_smile.png
Hopefully next swap we do I can get a little crazy
wink.png

I did make this though
big_smile.png
Wanted to share... has nothing to do with crochet, but I thought you all might like it
