welcome-byc.gif
Susan!
The swap is gearing up for the spring swap as the fall one is all filled up. Would love to have your expertise here with the rest of the experts.
wink.png

Scrambled Egg and Mawchickkidie are the ladies to contact for all things Swap! Also all the info for the fall swap is on Page one in the very first post. The spring one is similar.

Speaking of, Maw, SE, - are we going to start a whole new spring swap thread? Or will we just keep this one growing? I favor the just staying in this one, because for some reason this thread feels all cozy, but of course, do whatever is easiest for you! We could just change the title to this one for the spring one.

Just curious.

Once again welcome, and we hope you don't mind talking chickens every once in awhile!!!

Well, now how many squares do we make for a swap
idunno.gif
? I have a lot of scrap yarn, maybe I could make them for swap
hu.gif

If it is a lot, I better get busy
th.gif
. WHEN I pick up the hook, I can go at a pretty good speed
wee.gif
. I always tell my kids, let me know as soon as you know, so the baby afghan will be done by the time it hatches
jumpy.gif
. Right now I am finishing up one for my dad. It is a queen size one
he.gif
my first big project! Hope to be done soon.

I do have to get started on one for the baby coming in April!

Welcome Susan!!!! Happy to have you here and we don't mind if you have chickens or not!!! You are certainly welcome in our group here, post as much or as little as you want and feel free to get started on your spring swap items. Mawchikkide and I switch off hosting the swaps..she host s the Fall swaps and I host the spring ones. We each choose our themes for the fall and spring swaps and for the spring swap my theme will be "Anything goes..squares, triangles, hexagons, circles and other..." any patterns, any sizes and any colors so we can branch out a little, have some new fun with the crochet and see what interesting shapes we can add to our swap piles!! Some folks save their swap stuff until they get a big pile and then join them, you may want to do that too. You will need to make as many as the number of folks on the sign up list..as good starting point is to use the number for this fall swap...although I am hoping for many more!! I made a tote bag.... a hippified tote bag!!! out of my last squares!! Tell your friends they are welcome to join too, no chickens required...although we will entertain you with our chicken tales!!! Sooooo welcome, happy hookin!!!

Red, I love that pattern!!!! I can't even find time to finish my crochet-a-long with the lionbrand site but somewhere down the road, I will be making those circles!!!

Shanah, you are right, this thread does feel cozy and welcoming!! Maw and I have already talked about that...we will keep this thread and since she started it and had editing privileges over the first post, after this swap is completed I will send her my write up for the spring swap and she can just paste it in...so yes, you can subscribe to this thread and keep righton hookin along..obviously it must pull up pretty highly on the google searches if Susan found it looking for a swap so it will be better for the forum anyway to keep it going.

Race tonight, hoping for Travis to win and no stupid flukes to happen for a change!!!!!

Got run off the computer to make breakfast, now have a few minutes to sit and check other posts besides this one..which is ALWAYS my FIRST stop at BYC!! lol!!!

Maybe we should work on recruitment for our swaps a bit more...start talking to your buddies that crochet and get them to join the site and hop on board this thread..truly we don't mind if they have chickens or not!! Even not owning them but being in a group with people that do would mean one more name on a support petition or one more person that would protest cruelty to chickens...so in the end, it all works out to the advantage of our feathered friends..so welcome new folks, chicken owners or just chicken friends!!

Good Luck tonight Scrambled! Sure hope you get some of those points you need!!! Varrrooooom!

Susan, SE's right. I didn't mean that you *needed* to have or like chickens or whatever...I just meant, that we sometimes talk chickens rather enthusiastically.
ya.gif

SE, cool that we will keep our cozy thread. It is definitely the one I hang out in the most now.
Speaking of chickens, today's the day! Send those ladies back, SE!
lau.gif
or send me babies too!

Kiddo starts gymnastics this morning and you know that I am an official hooker now when you can see me always with a hook in my hand and a yarn ball trailing after me, where ever I go. Waiting for Kiddo's bus, car trips, watching non involving tv shows, in bed, and esp in front of my computer.

Needs to be changed to having a hook! Fix me up! Here I go on my busy day!

Have a great one Ladies!
