You all have inspired me to start again, I went through my cross stitching basket, haven't been through it in a couple of years and pull out a Christmas ornament. I began working on it for my sister.
Now if I can find a pattern of Olivia's Garden sampler for free, I can work on two projects at the same time frame. Get tired of one, go to the other one and go back and forth LOL!
Hi....just saw the request today. Will get to it...promise.
However, I'm packing, cleaning, sitting here wasting 15 minutes, and soooo much more to do!
I'm taking 10 ladies (& my DD on this ladies renewal)
I just found this thread...been spending all my free time reading back posts and planning my coop, and now I get to add my love of cross stitch to the mix!
I'm currently working on a big songbird XS project called "Colors" , by Crossed Wing Collection. It's taking me forever! I keep putting it aside to do other things.
Now I have the itch to stitch some chickens!
Oh, this is great! Around here, cross stitching (and any handcraft, really) is a last art. Right now I'm working on a wedding piece for my cousin, then I have a chicken and rooster set from the leafet "The Chicken Coop" I plan to start.
I love the Paula Vaughn books and leaflets the best. They are very country and end up being beautiful!
Anyone a fan of the Paula Vaughn x-stitch pics? I have one that needs to be finished---it has been a "over a decade" project. All I have left to do is a few french knots and lazy daisys, but I never seem to get to it.
I am a huge Paula Vaughan fan. I love her stuff. I swear someday I am going to do a Thomas Kinkade cross stiched picture also. I just got done making 12 book markers all with different bible verses on. If I figure out how to post pics I'll will. I have a wonderful book with different chicken cross stitch pictures. And I love the old farm tractor patterns I have. As you can tell I'm a huge cross stitch lover. Just wish I had more time. Around Christmas time I make miniture Stockings and sell on ebay.
I do love Paula Vaughan though. I can imagine myself sitting on that old porch swing. I love her use of colors.
I love her stuff too. I tend to be more of a do it and finish it 30 days or less. I get bored with big intricate patterns that take lots of time to complete. I have finished 2 of her patterns and gave them away as gifts. I don't know if I will start another large project again for a very long time.

Yeah, when I finish this big Crossed Wing project, I'll be staying away from big projects, too! Especially big projects that require a lot of back stitching!
I LOVE Blackbird Designs. Overdyed threads and fabric, and NO back stitching! I have a few in my stash that I will get to next.
