BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

Mine came back in about 2 hrs .... they were updating the system so it must be a glich... did u log off and log back on? I would email a mod or Nifty if u still dont have it : )

Yep, did that, cleared cookies/temp files, etc. Nothing worked.

In the past, on another issue, I tried contacting mods but got 'you should post this question and maybe someone else may have had this issue and can help'.

So this time I just gave up and loaded a new browser.

I'm having the same problem. Did everything you guys suggested. No luck. I'm still stuck with this plain window to write a message in. No sign of attaching images or smiley faces or even editing your font etc... And I can only reply to one message at a time.
How do you get a hold of a moderator around here?

Some people have had it suddenly fix itself, after a few hours. I am not one of them. Just opened up Internet Explorer (after a day) and still the same as it was. 'Multi' quote gone, hit 'quote' and get the HTML code. But in all cases the bar is gone and when you do post, it's all one big paragraph.

I have Windows 7- 64 bit and Internet Explorer 9.

Seriously, it's easier to just load Firefox. You can import everything, from I.E. when you are setting up. Depending on your service (I have broadband) it can only take a couple of minutes- from start to finish.

PMing a moderator generally isn't the best way to go if you are having problems with the site not running well, for several reasons. Posting in this forum will get the message to our engineers, if there is something they need to work on. It also lets others know a little more about what is going on. (Also, it helps if you tell what browser and edition you are using.) I can sometimes help with a question about something like how the site works or where things are, but I'm quite useless if something on BYC needs to be fixed, and would also have to post it.

If you are using IE and can download Firefox or Chrome, we have strongly suggested you do so. We realize some people can't do this. But it's clear that BYC (and many other forums) run better on FF or Chrome.

I've used Firefox on my previous PC and now use Safari. Had absolutely no problems with either and would recommend both. Can you use Safari on a Windows PC?

TRY Disk clean up! I have mine set to do it! I bet that is what fixed mine!

Go to All programs , accessories, system tools, and do a disc clean up
