BYC Learning Center Makeover - Suggestions Needed!

Rather than simply having "clipping chicken wings", could there be a section about General Grooming and when it's necessary, in addition to that? Such as beak trimming, nail trimming, and when bathing a chicken is necessary? I'm sure many people have or are going to have chickens indoors and should know what to do if their birds can't wear down their beaks/nails naturally.

Great Idea. Spur trimming could probably also go under grooming.

I started this ages ago.. but this might be a good addition. Pretty much a whole section about the "egg" Include like the parts. Information about how to tell how fresh an egg is. Maybe link some information about why an egg shell may come out all wrinkled. I just remember one time I was talking about candling eggs. and everyone though it was only for hatching when You can actually candle an unfurtle egg to see how fresh it is. Maybe even make an egg cell cut out so that if someone found a "lost egg" they can see how fresh it is by candling it and putting the cut out over the egg cell to get an estimation of its age.

Heres a link to some of the stuff I had come up. with. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=96441

I think it looks great so far!

The only suggestions I would add to it is the disease and injury section: Poopchart. I don't have the link, but it's a wonderful picture chart of types of healthy and unhealthy chicken poop.

Also, would it be possible to add a breeding and genetics section? Or is that too advanced for a beginner's guide?
