BYC Member Interview - Meg-in-MT

Great story and pics Meg :D

Is one of them invisible?
Not invisible, just camera shy :gig
Re: RA and chickens, I don't have RA, DW does and I deal with the chickens because they are my thing.

I don't fill waterers. In the summer the hens have an auto waterer in the barn alley (their indoor "run") similar to this one https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/bergan-auto-wata-pet-waterer-3600362 and outside they have a dog food bowl that gets "auto filled" by a slightly leaking hose that connects to the auto waterer. In the winter they have a heated dog water dish in the barn alley that I fill every morning from a 2 gallon cat litter jug. Some for them, some for the 2 alpacas. 20 hens drink more water than 2 alpacas!
Thank you for the advice, Bruce. I think automatic waterers would be very handy for the birds. We do have them for the livestock and know how awesome that is! That's amazing the chickens drink more than the alpacas!

Thank you for reading :)

I pulled a few pics from an old post. They're not the best, but most of my pics are locked up in an old laptop that I can't access any more.

The slope of the forehead and the wide muzzle... people who knew Newfies always recognized it in her. Everyone else thought she was part Shar Pei.

Do you know what breed(s) Nahla is? St. Bernard-ish?
Awe, she was a beauty :lovei love her face. You can see newf in her eyes, too. They have very kind eyes, don't they? Thank you for sharing! Scooter is so cute :)

Exactly what you said, I believe. St. Bernard'ish. I'd like to try one of those dna tests. She almost looks like she's got spaniel in her. She is a behemoth, though! 150# and maybe slightly overweight

I love seeing your cattle Meg (and all your other critters too). That grey one with the massive horns is gorgeous. 🥰 Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thank you, Jae! That fella is Lonny the longhorn and he's quite the character. It doesn't appear like he has a mean bone in his body, but he's playful and with those big ol' horns he's a bit intimidating! If we get a pile of wood and branches started for a fire, it needs to be lit quickly or he'll tear it apart :gig

Hello, dear! Sorry I'm late to the party (as usual).
You have a very artistic flare with your photography, decorating, everything. I loved every picture you shared and how very well you put together your interview!
I did not realize how very recently you lost your beautiful mother. I'm sorry. I know how crippling a loss like that can be.
Do you ride the horses to work the cattle?
