Couldn't be left out..

Macon and Georgia have so many areas of interest, but I know we'll be tired by the time everyone arrives here, so will keep the tour to places within a few minutes drive.

Upon arrival will have lunch ready : egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, cheese straws, pound cake and tea.

After lunch, will give you the guided tour to meet my hens and see my vegetable garden, rose garden and blueberry patch.
For the rest of the afternoon we'll rest, socialize and sip Mint Juleps while DH prepares supper.

Supper: squash casserole, baked sweet potatoes, pink-eyed peas and butter beans, cornbread , home canned bread and butter pickles, and tea. For dessert I made an Elberta Peach Cobbler and have Cool Whip ready… but, NFC will have to make her some real whip cream
.

Then for the inside house tour and your selection of accommodations. I have no full sized couches and no guest beds, but plenty of quilts to "make shift mattresses". Unless y'all want to share wash rags and towels, you'll need to bring them with you. ** we do have indoor plumbing and city water**

Next morning we'll head out for the tour. First we'll travel down the Cherry Blossom Trail to view the thousands of Cherry Trees here, hope they are in bloom. Then down to Central City Park for the Cherry Blossom Festival and Pink Pancake breakfast. And while we're at the park, y'all will have to see Luther Williams Ballpark. It is the second oldest remaining minor league stadium in the country. Built in 1929, it hosted a number of minor league teams. And has been location for a number of films - the most recent were "42" and "Trouble With The Curve".

Then onto visit the historic Hay House and Cannoball House. And for those Rock & Roll fans, the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House.

By now we'll be hungry again, it's only a short drive to Juliette, home of "The Whistle Stop Cafe" for fried green tomatoes and southern style cooking.

The rest of the afternoon we can relax at home. I had so wanted DH to cook again, but he snuck out and bought FreshAir Barbecue Party Packs - pit cooked pulled pork barbecue, buns, dill pickles, coleslaw and brunswick stew. The sauce is a tart vinegar type, so if you prefer sweet BBQ sauces will have DH get some BBQ from Finchers.

After another night of restful floor sleeping, y'all will surely be ready to move the caravan elsewhere. To start the day you can have your choice of sausage & egg casserole or homemade cinnamon buns…or both.

But be sure to grab a bag of fresh boiled peanuts to snack on during the trip to the next abode.
