Cross a blue egger with a dark brown egger = olive!!! Cross an olive back to a dark egger and the color is a darker olive. Cool isn't it??

Dark eggers are black copper marans, cuckoo marans, pennies, wellies, etc.

( I have some black copper marans boys looking for a new home. )

That is very interesting, But I will have to pass... As my neighbor is already offering to drive my only roo to Nevin farm a much better place for him to be (according to her). He is a very handsome Buff Bramaha.

Have you considered taking him to one of the sales/ swaps?--closer than Nevins. Or list him as available as a pet or breeding rooster?
