Welcome to the thread.Hi! New chicken mama here, too. Chicks are due Tuesday! Taking advantage of my professional carpenter spouse's skills on our coop. Building the buried anti-predator foundation box today while the sun is out! Tomorrow, we start prepping the brooder![]()
I also have a ring light near my coop so if there is any motion it goes off. It seemed to scare the raccoons away from the trash hoping it will do the same and scare them from my coop.Good job!
I have racoons around my area, however they don't bother with the coop or run because they can't get in.I also have a ring light near my coop so if there is any motion it goes off. It seemed to scare the raccoons away from the trash hoping it will do the same and scare them from my coop.

Would anyone like a pair of Welsh Harlequins? She hasn’t started laying yet, but should be any day now. They hatched in August 2019. They are driving my husband crazy with the quacking in the morning outside our bedroom window.
I’m happy to meet somewhere (I’m in Concord) and do a social distancing handoff. Free to a good home.
Thanks!
