BYC members in Massachusetts?

I’m getting ready to build a similar style, but smaller coop for a grow out pen and meat bird coop. Was going to start today but I’m nursing a spider bite to my shin. Should be fine tomorrow. I’m glad I’m not the only one building on the septic field.
Lol, I figure its as good a place as any. Plus its the high ground of my property. Everywhere else gets flooded after rain because I have nothing but bigger hill behind me and get all the runoff. Hope the spider bite isnt making you too uncomfortable

The itch is maddening. But it will be better tomorrow. Thank you for asking.

Here's our recently finished little baby coop for our 4-6 hens. Currently we've got 5 9 week olds - 4 girls (2 EE, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Blue Rock), 1 boy (Olive Egger).

Is that Buff Orpingtons? I've been really intrigued by them since my girls started kind of brooding. Glad you're feeling better!
Yes Buff Orpington's. These are my first. I have RIR's and BR's. These little yellow fluff balls are so much more civilized than my other birds. I started with 4, but one died at 7 days. Oh well, it happens. But these little gals are very sweet and did not poop in their water or food for the first two weeks. I'm brooding them on my front porch (totally enclosed). I can't deal with the dust in the house anymore. It took awhile to collect all the material for this build and since I altered the design recently I just ordered a roofing panel for it. Here's one of them at 2 days old.
