it is a testing for Avain and polluim, i most likely spelled that wrong, when they do that you ask to be NPIP which is a program that basically you keep tracked on what you sell for records so that the states can see who has been tested and such.
now if you are going to ship eggs or live birds or travel with them, you need to be NPIP for some states.
but if are going to show, sell, eggs chicks, chickens, in mass all you need is a health certificate that your birds have been tested clean.
Now some states will have you fill out a permit for that state if you sell in there state. again must have the npip certificate.
It is very easy to get done, it is free here in mass.
