Congratulations! I'm in the process of writing a book about my first year of farming (have an agent but not an editor yet) and I'm currently writing about chickens... trying to find out statistics about how many folks keep BYCs, etc. And here Newsweek beats me to the punch!

Silly me, I didn't realize you were THE operator of the site, and are practically in my backyard (relatively speaking -- I guess Sonoma's more the backyard of the Bay Area). I might request an interview next!

That was a really fabulous article. I hope to see more people take interest and even if some people still don't want to do it, they'll at least get an idea of how good it would be to let others continue to have flocks of their own. It truly is a better and healthier more natural way to go.

A few less chemicals I have to consume from the stores!
