I just tried the dream world..... it was a bit different than I thought. Looks like the competitive side actually keeps track of your record and ranks you globally in some way....

So, it looks like the dreamworld itself is a series of mini games/flash games. If you are fast, you can get through with one pokemon and then put another to sleep. It seems to be the only way to grow berries on Black and White and allows you to transfer a single pokemon from the dreamworld with every sleep/wake cycle. So, you can capture 2 per day. You only get a total of one hour per 24 hour period.

You can sign up at the link Happytalons gave you or at www.pokemon.com (there is also a mini game to get a free dreamworld Eeveelution on that site...basically 4 levels of Arcanoid/breakout

). Then you go into your black or white game and use the Extralink and "tuck in a pokemon" Your account will be link at that point to your cart. I think you can use the palpad (in your bag under key items) to get the codes needed to sign up initially. When your pokemon is tucked in and sleeping you can go onto the website and walk around with it in the dreamworld. Everything you do earns you points. Watering berries, mini games etc. The Japanese players have been there for months now, so they're houses are all pimped out and they have large gardens. Not my cup of team BUT you do get free pokemon out of the deal. Females can pass on their dream abilities to their offspring. It seems also that there are point thresholds to beat to open up new content and get access to different pokemon. The really uber ones like a politoed with the drizzle ability require a ton of points to get access to. I haven't tried the global battle link yet because my team members are spread over a bunch of carts.....and a lot of my better ones still need to have their EV's fixed.

When you are done, you can do the extralink again and then any pokemon on your friendship board will go to this other area in the game you can access with the wireless feature on the c gear screen in game.

I've done some reading and apparently you can't link up with your regular friends on your friends list. So, friendship codes aren't helpful in the dream world. The only way to do it is to somehow accidentally find the other person in a sea of strangers. Hopefully Nintendo will change that some day. On the other hand the dream world is a very efficient way to grow berries (once you can get them). I have 4 rows of 3 berry plots at this point. Each can grow 5 berries if you keep them watered. So, if I was going the anti EV berries to help fix my pokemon I could grow 60 berries per harvest (about 3 days I think). I'd have to reinvest 12, but that's a lot easier than running all over the world trying to remember where you planted them....and other people (random strangers) can water your berries. The mini games I'm really getting tired of but they are a means to an end.
